Security starts with us - but you can play a key role

We want you to feel confident using all of our convenient services. We've invested in safeguards to protect Digital Banking transactions and ensure credit and debit card security. But there are also simple steps you can take to protect your finances.

Digital Banking Security Features
  • Digital Certificate from Verisign, Inc.: ensures no other site can assume identity of our site
  • Secure Socket Layer (SSL) 128-bit encryption
  • Multiple Firewalls: a layered security approach that protects your accounts from unauthorized access
  • Multi-Factor Authentication: a multi-layer security system that protects against phishing, spyware, and more.
  • Built-In Safeguards: To protect your accounts, you should always log out of Online Banking when you finish. In case you forget, Online Banking will log you out after fifteen (15) minutes of inactivity. Every time you begin a session, it asks for your User ID and Password. You will need to contact Member Services at 800-268-6928 if you are locked out your account.

  • Dominion Energy Credit Union and our providers/vendors will never call, text or email you asking for account information. Never provide your PIN, information, or account number to any unsolicited website or phone call, ever.
  • Messages sent by email may not be secure, may be intercepted by third parties and may not be immediately received by the appropriate business unit at Dominion Energy Credit Union. To send a secure email to the credit union, use Secure Messaging within Digital Banking. Please do not use regular email to send us communications which contain confidential information or which we require to be in writing.
  • If your ATM/debit/contactless or credit card is lost or stolen please report it immediately by calling the lost/stolen hotline.
  • Sign up for Account Alerts in Digital Banking and stay on top of account activity so you can respond quickly. Simply select "settings" then "alerts".
